Welcome to my new website! I am blessed to share in your movement health and healing journey…..

In a first blog post I hear I am supposed to talk about my purpose, what I offer or some small gem of knowledge to disclose in order to change your life! Wow that is a lot of pressure! I also think that you can read the website in order to find out my purpose , my passion, my skills and well my favorite books! I would like to skip that part and get to a gem of a point.

WAIT - there is more…You may have heard the saying: Sitting is the new smoking… There are a number of articles that try to compare this thought process. There are also a number of health risks discussed with being sedentary such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, anxiety, depression, diabetes you name it …

You know what kills me! They only discuss what you are doing wrong and what the problem is...no specific solutions…So before you get anxiety thinking that you are going to leave this earth the next day - you should know that there is time to make a change… you have a choice and you are in control…

Here is the secret: It is not the sitting…nor the standing.. it is the Stationary! MOVE! There are ways to add movement into your life in any setting, it just takes a little effort, time and fortitude to make some changes. I am not suggesting that movement is the only thing (although it is a big deal!) Perhaps some eating habits, some Vitamin D (get outside) and a little self care time ( umm outside) are amazing additional changes one can make!
